Total Anarchy v2 was a redesign set for Motorama 2004. At first, we weren’t considering keeping Total Anarchy going due to Battlebots being cancelled, and v1’s failure points making it undesirable to continue with. With the announcement of Middleweights at Motorama, we wanted to give it another go. We wanted to switch from aluminum to steel for more rigidity, and switch strictly to a hammer since the torque wasn’t strong enough to use for lifting. (Note, going direct with a T64/T74 is a losing proposition… IDK how Diesector did it).
Why it never competed:
The day before we were planning to head up to Motorama, we had finished up the wiring and wanted to test everything. We tested the hammer against a sheet metal box we had. The hammer impacted the box, but the gears stripped inside the T74 motor upon impact. We had no spares for the weapon, and we didn’t want to compete with just a wedge in a fit of frustration. It stayed home from Motorama. It would not see any progress until the following year.
